Broadband not a Council matter
THE provision of broadband is not a requirement of the local authority, Chief Executive Ms Joan Martin told councillors. She explained that while the Council was involved at regional and national level with broadband pro vision, it was largely a matter for two government departments. ‘All contracts for rural broadband will be run by Government departments,’ she continued.
‘Louth has probably the best broadband provision in the country outside of Dublin,’ she added.
