St Ita’s hosting sponsored walk day
ST ITA’S School sponsored walk takes place on Sunday 1st October at 11am.
It is a fun autumnal walk for everyone - family, friends, aunties, uncles, family pets.
The route leaves the school carpark at Crushrod Ave., over the Cross lanes, down the North Road, over Bother Brugha, returning back past Our Lady of Lourdes Church to the school car park.
Light refreshments will be served in the school hall afterwards.
Charity quiz in Valley Inn
THERE will be a charity quiz in the Valley Inn on the 30th September for the the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, in memory of local man, Darren Berrill.
The quiz kicks off at 8pm followed by a raffle and music. Entry is €40 for a table of 4. Everyone welcome!
Office skills course
LIFESTYLE Focus Your Future is currently recruiting for their new Information Communication Technology training programme to begin this October.
This training programme is for 18-35 year olds that have not completed their secondary education and are unemployed.
The programme is QQI accredited and offers an Information Communication Technology Level 4 Major Award. Some of the modules covered include; Office Skills, Web Design, ECDL, Communications and Work Experience. The course will also include a 6 week work placement.
This full-time course will run daily from 9:30 to 4:00 over 30 weeks starting this October. LMETB training allowances may apply, subject to approval.

Dominican bus
A BUS will leave from the Dominican Church for Dominican Sunday in Knock on Sunday October 8 at 8am. Tickets are on sale and can be had from the church shop.
