Series of groups for young boys and girls at the Boomerang Cafe on Fair Street

AUTUMN has arrived at Boomerang - and they have something for everyone with a range of activities and camps to choose from.

Boomerette’s Girls Group is for teenagers and this takes place every Tuesday from 5pm – 7pm. Diamond Diva’s young girls group is for 5th & 6th class and this takes place every Monday from 4pm – 6pm.

Boomguyz Boys group is for teenagers and takes place every Thursday from 5pm – 7pm and the other Boys group, Cryptic Guys, is for 5th & 6th class and takes place every Wednesday from 4pm – 6pm.

‘We have a wide range of activities starting on week beginning 18th September with these groups which include: Cube Night, Movie Night, Dodge Ball, Pizza Making, Art, Baking, Board Games, Treasure Hunt, Tie Dye, PJ Night etc,’ a spokespers­on stated. ‘It is great value as it is only €2 for members and €3 for non-members.’

They are also running an Art camp called Art Beats Workshop Wonders. This camp is starting on Tuesday 26th September for 5th & 6th class from 4pm – 6pm and Wednesday 27th September from 6pm – 8pm for 1st & 2nd year students. It will run for six weeks and will consist of Bubble Painting, Print Making, Photograph­y, Clay Coiling Method, Stone/Wood Craft, and Paper Beads Making. This Art Camp is also great value as it is only €2 for members and €3 for non-members.

St Joseph’s Young Priests meeting

AFTER the summer recess, the St Joseph’s Young Priests Society resume their monthly meetings in the Drogheda Community Services centre, Scarlet Crescent, on Thursday September 28th at 7.30pm. Newcomers welcome.

Dominican Church Ballon Saturday

THE Dominican Church ball takes place in the Westcourt Hotel on Saturday September 30. There will be a raffle on the night with proceeds shared between the repair fund and Focus Ireland.
