Pilgrim Street are coming to town!

A FANTASTIC evening of music and song is in store at the Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda, this Saturday evening when the widely acclaimed Pilgrim St play their annual gig.

Comprising of some of Navan’s best known musicians and song writers the band will unleash some new material, along with their customary timeless classics.

They play a wide range of styles and for lovers of Americana, country, folk and bluegrass it is a concert not to be missed.

The collective have been together for over three years and in that time have played some of the finest arenas in Ireland including Vicar Street, Electric Picnic and numerous theatres throughout the country.

The band came together in 2014 and released their first EP a year later. The five song EP was recorded live at Slane Farm Studios and

was a huge success locally and nationally with songs like How can a man be Happy and Jimmy’s Deflation getting regular airplay across the country.

A follow up EP will be re- leased later this year with new material being written and arranged at present.

The band is made up of Eugene Donegan on banjo and vocals, Peadar Farrelly on vocals and guitar, on mandolin and vocals is Eoin

McDonnell, with Mark Lynch alongside him on dobro and lap steel. The band is bound together with Francis McGinn on bass guitar, with Cathal McQuaid on fiddle.

The seventh member Brendan Kelly is a recent edition and Brendan plays a number of instrument­s including accordion and tin whistle.

Doors open at 7.30pm with the show commencing at 8pm. Admission is €15 and tickets are available from 041 9833946.
