Alzheimer support group meeting in St Mary’s Parish centre this week

THE Alzheimer Society’s Drogheda branch will hold its next support group meeting at St Mary’s parish centre, Dublin Road on Tuesday, October 3 at 8pm.

The venue, formerly Fatima School, is the new permanent venue for the meetings, which are held on the first Tuesday of every month. Parking is available at the bottom of Mary Street.

Drogheda Creative Writers

THE Drogheda Creative Writers Group will meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 8pm at The Living Room, Sarsfields Bar, Drogheda.

DROGHEDA Photograph­ic Club has started a new season each Thursday night at its clubrooms in Millmount Square starting at 8pm.

The club programme each year caters for existing and new members with talks and demos and workshops by members and guests both nationally and internatio­nally. The club boasts some of Ireland’s best photograph­ers who are always available with advice and help.

The club always welcomes new members. They can come along on any Thursday night and join.

Ruby Wax in town

AMERICAN comedian, author and campaigner Ruby Wax is bringing her show ‘Frazzled’ to Drogheda on Monday November 6th (8pm).

Following sell-out shows around Britain, and a month-long run at Leicester Square Theatre in London, the much loved comedian, is coming to Ireland for a handful of shows.
