NOW is your chance to learn Sign Language as part of Irish Sign Language Awareness week.

A seven month course took place from last October to April this year in Barlow House, and it proved very successful.

All those taking part passed their exams last May with QQ Level 3 ISL Classes (Beginner).

Now the Irish Deaf Society, which has a shop on West Street, is running another course. They are: QQ Level 3 ISL Classes Year 1 (Beginner) - Thursday 5th October Drogheda, at 8pm until 9.30pm, Also, QQ Level 4 ISL Classes Year 2 - Wednesday 4th October Drogheda, 6.30pm until 8pm. The classes take place in Barlow House. The Drogheda-based Tredagh Trekkers club new season has started. The club will hold it’s next hikes on Sunday 8th. October next, at both beginner and experience­d levels, in the Wicklow Mountains.

LGBTQ night out in Odd Mollies THE LGBTQ night out takes place in Odd Mollies bar from 8pm on Thursday October 5th. All welcome to attend. Bagfull of Songs THE Bagfull of Songs takes place in Sarsfields on Friday October 6th with performanc­es from The Jobseekerz, Tom Anderson band, Colours Afobeat Foundation and other guests.
