Time to bite bullet on one-way system

IF YOU are ever walking down Bachelors Lane or Bessexwell Lane, both off Shop Street, you meet cars coming up and down the street.

Technically, they are both one-way, with entry only from Shop Street.

But that situation is crazy, especially on Bessexwell Lane where it seems the vast majority of traffic enter from the WRONG side.

Is it time for the authorities to bite the bullet and just reverse the flow of traffic on this street before someone gets hurt.

It would also take traffic off the road at the North Quay and help the flow there too.

So, can it be changed?

Bessexwell Lane is one-way, but you’d hardly know.

Bachelor’s Lane is also a two-way system, on a one-way street.
