Glen Emmets beat Cuchulainn Gaels in Division 4/5 playoff semi final on Wednesday. Result was GE (1-16) CG (0-5) Well done lads. We now play St. Fechins on Tuesday 3rd October (Time/Venue TBC at time of print. Check social media) All support welcome

The minors defeated Clan na Gael last Monday 24th September and are into the final.

The U14s meet O’Connells Stabannon Parnells/John Mitchells this Saturday 7th at 4pm in Stabannon Parnells in Quarter-final. All support welcome.

Hard luck to our U14 girls who battled hard against Kilkerley Emmets in the Championsh­ip final on Sunday in Tallanstow­n. They were defeated in the end by two point (FT 2-10 to 3-05). You did your club proud.

The U13 had a great game against Arsdee St. Mary’s G.F.C. on Saturday. Final Score was 3-12 to 0-4. Final on in Darver this Wednesday (4th) at 6.45pm in Darver against O’Connells/ Stabannon Parnells/John Mitchells. Best of luck to the boys. You can do it! All support on Wednesday appreciate­d.

THE Table Quiz takes place in Kennedy’s Bar on Friday, October 20 at 9.30pm. Table of 4 is €40 with all proceeds going to pitch upkeep.

The annual nomination­s meeting will be held on October 26 and the AGM on November 16. The annual mass is on November 8.

A fantastic display of quality football saw the girls U14 team clinch the A Championsh­ip title with a great win over Glen Emmets 2-10 to 3-4 on Sunday last in Tallanstow­n.

MILLMOUNTH­ANDBALL

OUR new training schedule for the upcoming Leinster 40x20 adult championsh­ips will now take place every Monday and Thursday in Gormonston College sports complex at 6.30pm to 8pm until further notice.

Players wishing to purchase new 40x20 handballs for their training can do so by contacting our club secretary the cost is €8 per ball.

The All-Ireland senior 60x30 Softball Doubles finals takes place next Saturday at Croke Park Handball Centre club players and supporters wishing to attend the finals should book their tickets asap please.

Great to see that our juvenile 40x20 coaching for boys and girls is going extremely well and will continue as usual every Tuesday night in Gormonston sports complex at 6.30pm to 8pm our transport departs the Pheasant car park at 6pm sharp.

Our club AGM will take place on Wednesday 1st November in the Pheasant function room at 7.30pm. The club would like to wish Kingscourt handball club Legends Patsy Hand and Greg Sheridan all the very best of luck in their All-Ireland over 70s Doubles final at St Coman’s, Handball club in Roscommon next Saturday against Galway duo Morgan Darcy and Seamus O Fatharta.

Our annual Juvenile under 9s ‘Fundamenta­l Handball’ skills competitio­n for boys and girls will now take place on Friday 13th Oct and will run for three weeks good luck to all our youngsters taking part.

WELL done to Ronan and the management and team on a great win last Wednesday in Darver, securing our place in Division 1. Preparatio­n for the Championsh­ip Final against Dundalk Gaels is now in full swing.

CONGRATULA­TIONS to Caoimhe Daly, Bronagh Cowan, Sarah Lawrence, and Caitlin Lenaghan and their Kilkerley Emmets teammates who captured the Under 14 Championsh­ip title on Sunday with victory over Glen Emmets in Tallanstow­n. Well done girls!

Seamus & Bernard played in the clubrooms on Sunday evening. A presentati­on of two cheques totaling €4000 to Cara Cancer Care and to the Hospice was made on the night with proceeds from the Family Fun Day. Well done to all involved.

CELEBRATIO­NS continued over the last week after the club captured the Paddy Kelly Cup as senior county champions following their fantastic victory over St Fechins recently.

Preparatio­ns will now continue as they look ahead to their clash with Westmeath Intermedia­te champions Fr Daltons in the first round of the Leinster Junior Club Championsh­ip in Mullingar on Saturday October 14.

The club captured further silverware over the weekend when our minor team won the South Ulster Hurling League at the top three playoff finals held in Garvaghy on Saturday afternoon.

They suffered a 3-5 to 1-4 defeat to Eire Og (Tyrone) in their first match before going on to beat Lisbellaw by 6-7 to 3-4 later in the day. With all three teams winning one game a piece the title was determined on score difference with Moninne taking the

THE lotto numbers from 26th September were 3, 8, 10 & 30. There were two match-3 winners who each receive €100. The jackpot wasn’t won and remains at €20,000.

WE are holding a fancy dress Hallowe’en Ball in Luna nightclub on Friday October 27th. Doors open at 9pm and tickets - priced €15 - are available from the club shop or Callaghans Butchers.

We have amazing prizes of three weekends away for the following categories - Best dressed male, best dress female and best dressed couple. This was an amazing night last year and the standard of fancy dress was unreal, so we hope so do better this time!

Numbers drawn in last week’s lotto were 2, 12, 27 and 28. The lucky dip winners were as follows: €50 Ray McCourt, €20 Maureen O’Neill, €20 Louise Duff and €20 Peader Fahy. This week’s jackpot will be €1,500.
