Mitchels stay put

JOHN Mitchels hung on to their Division 3 status with an impressive 2-9 to 0-8 victory over Cooley Kickhams second string.

Mitchels found themselves in the play-off spot in Division 3 after a final round defeat to Westerns coupled with St Bride’s ‘B’ conceding a walkover to Naomh Malachi in their penultimate game, the Knockbridge’s third concession of the campaign.

But Mitchels themselves received a walkover from Geraldines in the play-offs and kept their focus for Saturday’s decider against Cooley at Dowdallshill.
