The top ten finishers were: 507 – Vincent Conlon (8); 509 – Peter Rogers (2), Jim Dwyer (8); 513 – Brian Mernagh (12); 514 – Connor McCaughey (5), Carl Stewart (9); 516 – Sean Quigley (18); 518 – Paddy Duffy (13), Terry Conlon (6); 519 – Shane Hession (6).

Rogers was also pipped for Sunday’s Jubilee Cup as he lost out on countback to Liam Mernagh (13) despite shooting a nett 67 off a handicap of two.

Mernagh had got off to a good start with pars at the first and third but handed them back when he had a triple bogey seven at the index one fourth. However, he bounced back with successive pars at the fifth and sixth followed by another at the eighth and then a birdie two at the ninth for a nett front nine of 33.

More pars followed down the back nine at 10, 12, 13, 15 and 17 and 18 and the only blemish was two dropped shots at the short par four 14th. He came home in 34 nett for an overall score of five under 67 and beat Rogers on countback.

Aaron Grant (+2) took the Gross Prize with a superb five under par 67 in the first grouping of the day while the category prizes went to Conor McCaughey (5), Conor Hackett (12) and Johannes Steenvoode­n (24)
