HURLING

Commiserations to the St. Fechin’s Hurling team who were unfortunate not to make it Three in a Row in the Senior Hurling Championship Final held at the Grove Pitch in Castlebellingham. It was a well matched contest between St Fechin’s and Naomh Moninne with both teams showing great hurling skills. Naomh Moninne applied full pressure but St Fechin’s kept up with them all the way. Sadly a much needed goal to secure a victory by one point was not to be with the final score at 0-16 to 0-14. However the team has to be commended for their efforts and like the Senior Football Finals in 1983 and 1984, two in row is a great achievement. This team will be back.

ST. FECHIN’S LOTTO

The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 14 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. The €100 winner was Paul King. Winners of €20 were Mia Burke, Jim Cullen, Niall Mc Cabe, Adam Mc Glew and Mairead Dunne. The jackpot this week is worth €1,100 and is sponsored by Madden’s Centra, Termonfeckin.
