No toilets at playground says council

-

AN appeal by Cllr Tom Kelly for toilet facilities at the playground at Narrowways in Bettystown won’t be entertained by Meath CC.

He made the call at a meeting last week, saying children had to use hedges as toilets. He was getting complaints from residents, amongst others.

He said the playground was ‘far removed’ from proper facilities and they were badly needed at the location.

However, Director of Services Fiona Lawless said the council wouldn’t be providing toilets. ‘We can’t provide toilets at every playground, we are just not able to do that,’ she explained.
