‘Once the first goal went in I think we knew we had them. Once the second one went in we just had to stay solid and keep going.

‘The type of game they play isn’t for us, we like open football and thankfully we put it up to them and got over the line.

‘As a wing back it’s tough coming on to the ball at pace against that system, so you try and get around the back of them and find a few pockets of space.

‘Thankfully it all worked out. We beat a few big teams on the way here, but you have to do that to win a championsh­ip and luckily we did it.’
