TEAM HOPE CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL 2017

IF you would like to take part in this year’s Shoebox Appeal all you have to do is fill a medium sized gift wrapped shoebox with a range of simple gifts for a boy or girl from the following age groups: 2-4,5-9,10-14 & enclose €4 per box towards distributi­on costs. Duleek Meals on Wheels are urgently looking for cooks and drivers for every 2nd Wednesday morning. MUSIC APPRECIATI­ON NIGHT

A music appreciati­on night is taking place in Duleek Library on Tuesday the 24th of October at 7pm. It promises to be an interestin­g presentati­on covering some popular Irish music, classical music and hits from the Musicals. All are welcome! DULEEK DRAMA PLAYERS

Duleek Drama Players are performing a Murder Mystery Night at the Spire Restaurant in Duleek on Thursday 26th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of October. Tickets cost €30 and include a four course meal. Reservatio­n is essential, contact 0419880697.

Angela Kirwan would like to thank everyone who supported the recent Hospice Coffee Morning at Riverstown which was a tremendous success with a total of €14,000 raised. This money was so welcomed by the Hospice Blanchards­town, Gary Kelly Centre, Drogheda and Meath Palliative care, all of which provide wonderful services in our community. Thank you so much to those who came on the day, including all the new faces. Many thanks also to all who helped. To all who baked the beautiful bread, cakes, tarts etc and donated the fantastic range of jams & chutneys, vegetables and plants a huge thank you, as well as those who donated the fantastic prizes.

DULEEK DEVELOPMEN­T ASSOCIATIO­N

Our annual fundraisin­g this year starts with our Church Gate Collection on Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd of December, in both Duleek and Bellewstow­n Churches. Tickets are on sale for our Christmas raffle at €2 each or 3 for €5 in the Community Shop or from any committee member. The draw will take place at our annual Table Quiz which will be held in the Courthouse Duleek on Friday 15th December.
