Una and Tony mark their 50th anniversary

-

LOCAL couple Una and Tony Gregory celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with a party for family and friends in the Westcourt Hotel.

The night was one filled with beautiful music as both Una and Tony are accomplished singers.

Una is a member of the Tredage Singers while Tony performs with the Drogheda Male Voice Choir.

‘IT was a fantastic night, Una and Tony really enjoyed it, as did all the guests,’ said the couple’s daughter-in-law Sabrina Kierans.

‘ They did a duet and then Paddy Davis from the Male Voice Choir did a number as well and their children also sang on the night so it was a very musical night because they are a musical family.

The family enjoyed a sit down meal surrounded by family and friends.

The couple, from College Rise, were joined by their three children Anthony, Alan and daughter Lisa who lives between Australia and Scotland, as well as their respective partners.

Sadly, the couple lost their fourth child Sharon, on Christmas Eve 1994 but she was remembered on the night.

Those at the party included some of the original bridal party, Una’s sister Bernie Coyle and Tony’s sister Marie McCullough both of whom where bridesmaids at the wedding.

The couple married in the Lourdes Church back in 1967.
