December Girl launch this week

-

IT’S been a busy few months for local author and blogger Nicola

Cassidy, who launches her debut novel December Girl this week at the Grey Goose in Drogheda.

The novel, which is inspired by and set in the local area has already gone on pre-sale on Amazon and Nicola is hoping that with local support, it will do well in the Amazon Book Charts.

“Since being signed by my

UK publisher, I’ve been working really hard to put my marketing plans in place for the book,” said

Nicola. “As a blogger, I know how powerful social media can be when it comes to getting the word out, so I’ve been busy contacting book bloggers and other social influencers to let them know about the release.

“I’ve also planned a really big launch in Drogheda and am hoping as many people as possible will show up on the night to pick up a copy. I think people will really enjoy the local references, and the research I’ve put in about what it might have been like to live in our town one hundred years ago.”

The novel is available for pre-order on Amazon currently and gets its official release on Thursday 26 October. It can be downloaded onto Kindle from Amazon or ordered direct to your door in paperback format from Amazon too. The book is being stocked in Waterstones Drogheda.

December Girl will be officially launched upstairs at the Grey Goose this Friday 27 October at 7.30pm. Paperback copies will be available on the night, retailing at €10.

“I’d welcome any readers, or anyone who is interested in history or writing in general to come along on the night to pick up a copy,” said Nicola.
