American Kilroys

I WONDER was this mystery ever solved? Exactly 50 years ago, an American tourist was trying to locate the family of the late John Kilroy of Drogheda. The only information he had on Mr. Kilroy was that he was killed by a bakery truck, leaving a widow and eight children.

He had a number of sisters, Bea who went to America and married Thomas Murphy, Catherine who married Daniel Andrews; Anna who married John Andrews and Maggie who . married John Marren. Apparently the family originally came from County Mayo.

The American tourist was Mr. John J. Murphy, Murphy Game Farm, Star Route, Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
