RENT PRESSURE ZONE.

Recently the Government announced that a number of areas would become Rent Pressure Zones. This means that rent is capped at a maximum of 4% per year for the next 3 years. Drogheda was one area to be designated and according to local Labour Senator Ged Nash, Termonfeckin is also included in this designation. Senator Nash says it is good news for tenants as it will help arrest the massive rent increases experienced in the area in recent times and while it is welcome, it is no substitute for the building of new homes, both by the public and private sector. Senator Nash says it is also welcome to see that the construction of the new school project at Scoil Naomh Feichin is currently underway.

Got a tractor? Got a couple of hours to do a good turn for a much deserved charity? Want to have an entertaining, social Sunday morning? If your answers in in the affirmative, then get yourself off to The Great Tractor Run in Collon on October 28th. Incidentally, did you hear about the fella who was absolutely obsessed with tractors, to such an extent that they virtually took over his life. Anyway, after much needed therapy, he eventually kicked the habit.

As this was before the smoking ban in Ireland, he, instead concentrated on walking into pubs and restaurants, exhaling and then inhaling, to such an extent that he would rid the premises of the filthy residue from the smokers’ filthy habits. How did he do this? Because he was an EX TRACTOR FAN, that’s how..........

Anyway, if you want further info on the above run, please ring Jimmy Sweeney on 0872069465
