LMETB hosted local hospitality course
LOUTH Meath Education & Training Board (LMETB) recently celebrated the successful completion of the pilot Hospitality course in Co. Meath.
LMETB in partnership with Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre (BURC) and the Irish Hotel Federation (IHF) delivered the City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Professional Food and Beverage Service programme.
This 30 week programme provided Learners with a range of skills, knowledge and competence in the Food and Beverage Industry.
The modules included; Food Safety in Catering, Health & Safety in Catering, Legislation in Food and Beverage service, Menu Knowledge, Service of Hot Beverages, Handling payments, Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism.
Under the Irish Hotel Federation Learners completed their work experience in various Hotels throughout Co. Meath such as Knightsbrook, Ardboyne, Newgrange, Trim Castle, Headford Arms and Castle Arch.
