NEWFOUNDWELL MUIRHEVNAMOR 4 0

IN a game billed as an early title showdown, the pretenders to the throne showed the reigning champs no mercy with a ruthless display.

With the visitors severely depleted, ‘Well took control of the contest from the start and Ian Devine netted after just 11 minutes.

That strike and ‘Well’s high tempo start set the tone for the game and they doubled their lead when Devine was hauled down inside the area.

The in-form striker dusted himself down to fire the spot-kick home, leaving Newfoundwell in total control at the break.

Muirhevanmor started the second-half better, but a rock solid defence in front of the ever alert Ronan Brown, the hosts never looked like giving anything
