GOLDEN WEDDING
Huge congratulations and best wishes are sent to Peter and Mary Murphy from Papal Drive who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. To mark this very special occasion Peter and Mary and a large family gathering went to Galway for the weekend. Mary was born there and left Galway when she was 18 and moved to London. She met Peter there and settled in Collon after they got married. So, it was a very special moment when Peter and Mary renewed their wedding vows in Marys parish of Castledaly among their nearest and dearest.
This was followed by a beautiful meal where lots of reminiscing for this lovely couple took place. All your family, friends and neighbours wish you both the very best for the future.
Congratulations and belated birthday wishes are sent to John Grimes and Gavin Monaghan who recently celebrated their 30th birthdays. Here’s wishing you the very best for the future.
Congrats to our local teacher Bernie Clerkin and her husband Gareth O’Connor on the birth of their baby son Darragh, born on 1st October. This is the couple’s first child and family, friends, staff, past and present pupils and parents wish you all the very best for the future.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY.
Opportunity twice seldom
WOULD YOUR CHILD LIKE A PARTY?
knocks
The latest craze is the All Weather Pitch in Clogherhead. It costs only €20 for 1 hour and after the hour you can continue the party there on the pitch or go to the Community Hall where they can run around having great fun in secure, friendly and safe surroundings for only €30 per hour. And then they just flake out with tiredness, happy but tired.
