United Park is in great shape

-

POPPED along to United Park last week to see the ‘derby’ game - no, not United and Dundalk (they’ve ended for a while) but Newfoundwell and Boyne Harps.

It ended 2-1 to the ‘Well but there was a terrific crowd out to watch it and despite having a Halloween soccer school on the pitch all week, it was in tremendous condition - take a bow the groundstaff.

It’s not an easy job keeping a pitch to that standard each week but they seem to produce the goods all the time - rain, hail or sun.

As for the game, it was a typical local derby and the ‘Well continue to look like a side that will challenge for honours with such wholehearted figures as Brian Kermode, Paddy O’Boyle, Kevin Bull and Alan Murphy in their ranks.
