Best feeling Ever as Sophie hits hat-trick

TERMONFECKIN CELTIC ALBION ROVERS 2 3

THIS was a wonderful advert for girls football in Termonfeckin on Saturday morning and Albion had to show great character to recover from a two-goal deficit and snatch victory.

Much credit must go to the Albion keeper Leah McElearney who made some fantastic saves to prevent Termonfeckin adding to their tally, while Heather Breen and Cliodhna Russell dominated the midfield and laid the foundations for a match-winning hat-trick from Sophie Everitt.

Having taken the lead for the first time, Albion stood strong in the remaining minutes and had the hard-working defenders Catherine Moore and Jessica Kells to thank for snuffing out the Termonfeckin threat in the latter stages.

After hearing the final whistle it was all smiles from the girls who have battled hard in every game this season and are now reaping the reward for their effort with a team that continues to improve. ALBION ROVERS: Leah McElearney, Micheala Loughran, Catherine Moore, Jessica Kells, Meabh Eakin, Cliodhna Russell, Heather Breen, Sophie Everitt, Carragh Fitzharris.
