WEEK five of the Turkey League took place last weekend and was an 18 nett competitio­n. The Grade 1 winner was Ray Mc Kenna with a score of 43 Nett (h/c -4). Pat Gorman took the Grade 2 prize with a score of 42 Nett (h/c -9).

Week six of the competitio­n will be 18 gross. Times of play are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm each day. Please note the change of times for this week.

WINNERS from Saturday’s Meath Autumn Alliance Scramble, held in Oldcastle: Gross - Danny Fitzpatric­k (Navan), Evan Carry (Castletown) & Anne Bird (Laytown) 85; Nett - Angela Owens (Trim), Gerry Plunkett (Castletown) & Frank Griffin (Oldcastle) 72.

The next scramble will take place this coming Saturday in Laytown at 10am.

ONCE again there was a big turnout for our turkey competitio­n which was keenly contested. The results from week six, an 18 gross, were as follows:

Senior: 1st Pat Greene 46 (ob6 14), 2nd Gerry Breen jnr 46. Inter: 1st Eamonn Furlong 48 (ob9 24), 2nd Bobby O’Brien 48. Junior: 1st Paddy Davis 49, 2nd Ray McEvoy 51. Ladies: 1st Noelene Bedford 51, 2nd Marlo Everitt 52.

Week seven of the turkeys will be an 18 nett. Times of play will be Friday and Saturday at 1.30pm and Sunday at 9.30am and 1.30pm.

Seapoint would like to offer our condolence­s to Declan Murphy on the passing of his sister Mary. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
