Big Joe is happy

I bumped into Joe Kernan in Dundalk during the week and wished him well for the upcoming International Rules Series in Australia.

He seemed very happy with the talent at his disposal and the commitment within the squad despite the number of high profile absentees. All Ireland champions Dublin have no representation on the travelling party as many declined the offer for a variety of reasons.

The two match series kicks off next Sunday in Adelaide and finishes in Perth six days later. Big Joe has confirmed he will be calling time on his managerial career at the end of the tour.
