SINCERE SYMPATHY

The sincere sympathy of Broomfield and District Residents Association and the Community of Broomfield and District is extended to the Roche Family, Broomfield, the extended Roche Family, Neighbours and Friends on the passing of Joe Roche, RIP, Broomfield, Collon recently. Joe was a wise, and good Community man who will be sadly missed.

A man who was very much in tune with his surroundings, Joe liked nothing better than watching the seasons unfold, and nature at play. Although born and raised in Dublin, Joe loved his home and surroundings in Broomfield, and could regularly be seen walking the roads in the locality. After a chat with Joe, you always left with some nugget of information as a result of his observations.

A good man to tell a story, the Dublin wit wasn’t lost on Joe! To Joe’s wife Maura, daughters Grainne, Niamh and Dervilia, son Emmet, son-in-law Cormac, daughter-in-law Aileen, grandchildren Isabelle and Heather, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends. you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time for you. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

COMMUNITY ALERT

It’s that time of year again, short daylight hours and long dark evenings and nights. Please call on elderly relatives and neighbours, especially those living alone. See that they have all their needs, food, heat, light and fuel for fires and anything else that they may need. It is often difficult for the elderly to get out and about to get shopping at this time of year, you may be able to help out in this regard. Above all, keep an eye out for those who use the cover of darkness to perpetrate crime, be extra vigilant, as the work of Criminals never ceases, as we know only too well in this District. Please make Community Alert a priority in the months ahead.
