DAVID HAS BEEN A LONG STANDING MEMBER OF THE SCOUTS FOR MANY YEARS
Drogheda man David Walsh has been elected as the new County Commissioner for Louth Scout County and will lead the movement in Louth for the next three years.
Dave, as he is more commonly known, was elected unopposed at the County AGM held in Dundalk last week which was attended by the Chief Scout of Ireland Christy McCann.
He has been a long Serving member of 3/4/6th Louth St Oliver’s Drogheda, Scout Group and has held many appointments including a term as Group Leader. He is no stranger to high Office as he currently is an elected ordinary member of the National Management Committee of Scouting Ireland.
Speaking after his election David thanked the County and said that he hoped to lead the County and its constituent groups to greater things for all the young people concerned.
The Chief Scout of Scouting Ireland was in attendance at the meeting and addressing the meeting he congratulated the County on it achievements and in particular it’s representation by its Groups at National Level.
