Mell road situation is a disgrace

I MET up with Imelda Munster TD recently and the debate about the incredible situation that exists at Mell came up in the conversation.

The junction with the Slane Road and beside it - at the Cement Road - is appalling and despite a number of accidents, remains untouched.

She said that she has spoken to the minister about it and the word he received is that it did not receive ‘priority’ listing by the council.

Why do we always wait for something major to happen before taking real action around this town.

This ‘double junction’ is getting busier and busier and we wait for the day for a tragedy and then the uproar will start.

Crazy.
