Weddingdressesgo ondisplay at StJoseph’sCBS

-

ON the 20th of September 2017, the teachers of St. Joseph’s C.B.S. took part in Wedding Dress Wednesday.

It was organised in conjunction with Today FM and the proceeds raised went to the Irish Cancer Society.

The boys were a bit shocked to see their teachers arrive to school in wedding dresses, bridesmaid dress and deb’s dresses! (right).

The boys were asked to donate €1 to the Irish Cancer Society. Today FM’s Paula Mac Sweeney and the Today FM crew came to visit us at school to see how we were getting on.

Between donations received from the staff, their friends and family and the boys in St. Joseph’s, the total sum raised was €645.

We were lucky enough to have Brenda McCarthy visit us from the Irish Cancer Society on Friday the 26th of October 2017 to present her with the cheque. We really enjoyed the day.

Well done to all involved.
