VILLAGE WINS AGAIN

The Pride of Place Awards were quite exciting in the Solstice Arts Centre in Navan. Julianstow­n was on the map again with The Lime Kiln picking up the overall County award for Best Shop Front and John and Jackie were on hand to pick up their prize! Well done Lime Kiln. Sonairte picked two well deserved awards for best nature and grown your own.

The night was attended by 250 people representi­ng all the community groups in Meath and this is the Councils way of rewarding volunteer groups for all their hard work throughout the year. You must remember that if volunteers don’t do this work, the council will not do it as they don’t have the funds to spend on our towns and villages even though we are ALL paying our property taxes to avail of these services! CHRISTMAS FAIR

City North Hotel & Conference Centre will hold a Christmas Fair on Sunday 17th of December from 2-6pm.There will be mulled wine and mince pies, artisan foods, lots of crafts stands with lovely stocking-filler ideas and carol singing. Admission is free so why not come along and enjoy the day!
