LEADER funds reduced

Cllr Antoin Watters has urged Louth County Council to call on the Minister for Community and Rural Development to take immediate action to reduce the delays in accessing LEADER funding for community groups; to make a commitment that no LEADER programme funding will be diverted to other projects and to make a commitment that the funding for LEADER will be restored as soon as possible.’

He pointed out that the allocation for LEADER funding had actually been reduced with a drop of €5million from 2016.
