Christmas market time at Millmount Craft Quarter
THE Christmas lights are twinkling and the Elves are busy in Santa’s workshop making all the toys for Christmas delivery, but they are not the only ones busy in their workshops.
Up in Millmount Craft Quarter in Drogheda the craft designer/makers are busy putting the finishing touches to their lovely products.
The public are cordially invited to visit, browse and purchase the fruits of their labour on the weekend of Friday (evening) the 1st. Dec. and Saturday and Sunday, the 2nd and 3rd.
Shopping locally is known to be of great benefit to the local economy but not only that, it is also an opportunity to source exclusive and enchanting gifts for friends and family.
Pottery, jewellery, painted silks and luxurious knitwear are all made in the Millmount studios by Maureen Finn, Elaine Hanrahan, Cecelia Casey, Mel Bradley and Edmund McKnulty.
While the five designers are well established and recognised far and wide they particularly enjoy their annual Christmas event, catching up with their local customers in their studios, exchanging ideas and inspiration for new designs.
It is also an opportunity for them to introduce new customers to their work.
The welcome is warm and extended to all to visit for the Millmount Christmas Gift Shopping Weekend, on Friday 1st. 6-- 9pm, Sat.2nd and Sun.3rd 11— 6pm.
