Beauty and the Beast panto comes to the TLT in December

THIS winter, a special tour will take to the roads of Ireland as Robert C Kelly, in associatio­n with each of the tour venues presents the spectacula­r Christmas pantomime Beauty and the Beast.

The Touring Pantomime, Beauty and the Beast will commence at TLT Drogheda on 15th and run until 23rd December before travelling on to the National Opera House Wexford and INEC Killarney.

Robert C Kelly commented “After the huge success of our pantomimes in Limerick we thought it time to take the shows “on the road” and our full-scale pantomimes will now tour annually to various Irish venues. This year we are delighted to start with The TLT in Drogheda, The National Opera House in Wexford and the INEC in Killarney.”

Beauty and the Beast will feature a star-studded cast including comedian Karl Spain, Red Rock star Adam Weafer and from kids favourite, Twigin, RTÉjr star Clara Murray.

Limerick comedian Karl Spain familiar for his TV appearance­s including Karl Spain Wants a Woman, and Operation Transforma­tion will play castle keeper, Bertie in the fabulous family pantomime. Hailed as “achingly funny” (The Sunday Times) Karl is a regular performer at Kilkenny Cat Laughs, the Galway Comedy Festival, the Vodafone Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Montreal Just for Laughs. He has performed in Australia, the US and South Africa and has toured with Kevin Bridges and Ed Byrne.

Ladies favourite and Red Rock star Adam Weafer will join the show as the loveable and misunderst­ood Beast. Clara Murray, who is well known to Irish audiences as a presenter of Twigin, Singalong, Pop Goes the Weekend on RTÉjr and will join this year’s pantomime as the feisty heroine, Belle.

Up and coming comedy duo and creators of the hilarious sell out show It’s Wine O’clock, currently taking Northern Ireland by storm, Teresa McBride and Rozlyn Sheridan will have you laughing all the way home! They’ll be joining the show as the hilarious Breda and Bridie, dim-witted servants to the Beast who are sure to get up to some hijinks.

Red Rock alumni John Lovett is also on board, adding a sprinkling of fabulousne­ss to the show as he takes on the role of the glamourous Dame Lola. Michael Kiersey will play the selfie obsessed Gaston, who professes his love for the beautiful Belle (although not as much as he loves himself!) Damien Douglas will bring the panto fun factor as his silly but loveable sidekick Gascraic.
