Two men before Drogheda court on begging charges are going home

TWO men caught begging in Drogheda town centre, have been given the benefit of the probation act.

The court heard both Petrica Guitan (63) and Christian Iftime (43) are returning to Romania.

Guitan, of no fixed abode, admitted a charge that he did annoy, obstruct and intimidate by placing himself in Laurence Street on 10 October, 2017, to beg with a cup.

Iftime, also of no fixed abode, admitted a similar charge at West Street in Drogheda on 11 October, 2017.
