SWITCHING ON CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN BETTYSTOWN

-

THE Christmas lights will be turned on in Bettystown at a special ceremony taking place on Saturday, December 9th next.

The village will be illuminated in all it’s glory with the switching-on of the Christmas tree and street lights.

This is the first year that lighting has been installed in the village and was organised by the volunteers of the Bettystown Tidy Towns group.

The day will be marked with special offers and customer appreciation offers in some of the local businesses, see the Facebook page Bettystown Tidy Towns for details.

The day will culminate with the switching-on of the lights at 6.00p.m, with carol singing performed by pupils from Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh.

‘We hope that the local community will visit the village to enjoy the event and support their local businesses,’ said a spokesperson for the Tidy Towns Group.

The group said the installation of the lights would not have been possible without the generous support and assistance of local businesses and developers and they extended their thanks to the following for their generous support, Anagenic hair design, Ashcroft Property Development Ltd, developer of Eastham Square, Carroll Estates Dublin Ltd. , developer of Cois Na Mara, Councillors Eimear Ferguson & Sharon Tolan, Funtasia, Pat’s Centra, Reddans Hotel and Bar, Stacks Pharmacy, Urban Life Developments Ltd., developer of Dun Eimear

The Bettystown Tidy Towns group are always looking for volunteers and suggestions.
