People of Drogheda are a tolerant lot!

Dear Sir,

DROGHEDA popele are very tolerant, easy to please, friendly but sometimes most gullible. For example we tolerate: a) Toll charges in and out of town.

b) Total neglect in the National Framework Strategy

c) Local power (borough council) gone d) local budgets being cut e) Biggest town in Ireland - no real advantages

f ) lack of investment for industry

I feel present and past governments have treated Drogheda very badly and very unfairly. This in spite of the fact that we all pay our taxes, work extremely hard and look forward to a healthy and happy future for our children.

Is it not time for the ordinary person in the street to demand equal rights from our representatives in Dail Eireann?

We did not get Hub status but surely to God we do not deserve to be overlooked.

Sometimes when you say nothing you get nothing.

For the sake of our great historical town/city stand up and demand your rights.

You only live once - it ain’t a rehearsal.

So look for the stars!! We have many in Drogheda.
