Town has new classic comic store

- By HUBERT MURPHY

DROGHEDA enjoyed a first recently when a classic comic and collectibles store opened in the town.

Based at the front of the Workspace Centre on Mayoralty Street, the store is set to become a popular venue for comic fans who have had to travel far and wide - never mind the internet - to enjoy their passion.

The brains behind the operation is Elizabeth McConnon, a Duleek native, but living in Drogheda for some years.

‘I’ve always been interested in comics and really there’s nothing for nerdy people around town to enjoy,’ she remarked.

‘I wanted to set up something like this and I hope people come in and enjoy it.’

Elizabeth brings in her range of comics from suppliers in the UK and America and as wel as comics, she has collectible items as well as artwork.

‘I’d love to set up a gaming workshop and art workshops for people interested. Hopefully that can happen if the interest is there,’ she added.

The new store is called Eath Prime and can be contacted at earthprimecomics100@gmail.com.
