Duleek image takes up a full wall!

-

JOHN Ryan introduced his exhibition ‘’One’’ at Bective Church, Navan, Co Meath to the chirpy sound of a band. Guests came from all corners of the country, England, Brazil and even Iceland. They were warmly welcomed by the host and his partner Kinga.

This extensive display of over 60 works was thoughtfully laid out. A specific theme showed room by room in each of the five spaces. The Dublin Room featured captivating scenes from the Georgian City. Ryan spent most of his early life here before moving to Co Meath.

An imposing painting of Duleek took up a full wall in the Meath Room that also featured fascinating scenes of Navan and the colourful Boyne Valley.

The highlight of the night for most visitors was the captivating Clady Collection. Called after the oldest footbridge in Ireland and painted on site, they showed haunting images of the majestic woodland at Bective Estate.

‘’A breathtakingly beautiful exhibition’’ was a written comment by Adrienne one of the guests. The exhibition continues each day until Sunday 17th December from 10am to 6pm.
