Charles McGee opens up on Shop Street

THE HIGHER STANDARD of living which, over the years, people in this country have come to enjoy, has resulted in a demand by all sections of the community for better quality goods.

Now the long establishe­d Drogheda drapery premises of Messrs Gallagher, Shop Street, which has always enjoyed an enviable reputation locally as being among the leaders in the men’s wear trade, has been acquired by Mr. Charles McGee, a native of Charlevill­e, Dunleer.

Married with two children, Mr. McGee is a young, energetic businessma­n. Having served his apprentice­ship in Messrs Matthews’, Dunleer, he transferre­d in 1954 to Messrs Andersons, West Street, Drcgheda, a concern which has since been acquired by Dunnes Stores. Mr. McGee was appointed to the staff of Messrs Kingstons in Dublin in 1962.

With such a wide and thorough knowledge of the drapery trade it is obvious that Mr. McGee is capable of serving the most demanding requiremen­ts of his clientele. The Drogheda store will continue to specialise in the quality garments for which it has always been renowned.
