Scarlet Street crossing

COUNCILLOR Frank Godfrey to consider installing a pedestrian crossing on Scarlet Street.

‘There have been numerous accidents and one fatality there,’ he said. ‘I can’t understand why one hasn’t been put in already. It is a very dangerous place for pedestrians trying to cross the road.’

Senior Engineer Martina Sheeran said Scarlet Street is on the council’s list of locations to carry out a speed traffic survey.
