Sent to drugs court
A 27-year-old man who pleaded guilty to three charges arising out of two separate incidents, has had his case adjourned to the new drugs court established in County Louth.
Adrian Kelly’s case was put back to Dundalk on 1 February, 2018. Inspector John O’Flaherty gave evidence that on 3 May, 2017, the defendant was searched on Cord Road, and €50 worth of heroin was found on him.
On 18 May, a warrant was obtained by gardaí to search his home at 2A Dominic Street, Drogheda, and they discovered €20 of cannabis and a stolen drum kit.
The drums were returned to their owner.
Barrister Irene Sands said Kelly had been clean for five-andhalf years, and relapsed at this time.
She said he is now back clean again.
