A 27-year-old man who pleaded guilty to three charges arising out of two separate incidents, has had his case adjourned to the new drugs court establishe­d in County Louth.

Adrian Kelly’s case was put back to Dundalk on 1 February, 2018. Inspector John O’Flaherty gave evidence that on 3 May, 2017, the defendant was searched on Cord Road, and €50 worth of heroin was found on him.

On 18 May, a warrant was obtained by gardaí to search his home at 2A Dominic Street, Drogheda, and they discovered €20 of cannabis and a stolen drum kit.

The drums were returned to their owner.

Barrister Irene Sands said Kelly had been clean for five-andhalf years, and relapsed at this time.

She said he is now back clean again.
