Leinster programme award for Louth PRO Doheny
LOUTH GAA public relations officer, Bob Doheny, will be among the front runners for a MacNamee award after scooping the Leinster Council award for the best county final programme in the province.
In congratulating the Louth PRO and his committee Leinster Council noted: ‘There was some stiff competition, but the effort that was put into the Louth football final match programme of 2017 with the souvenir 1957 supplement included c was in a different class and reflects admirably on all involved. n
‘Louth continue to set high standards st in this regard.’
The Leinster award will be presented to Mr Doheny at the Lienster Council function in Croke C Park this Thursday.
The inclusion of a reproduction ti of the 1957 programme on the th 60th anniversary of Louth’s last la All-Ireland win was a popular added bonus amongst supporters attending the county c final between Newtown Blues B and Dundalk Gaels, while the programme itself was a whopping 96 pages, and subsequently sold out.
The MacNamee Awards honour h the best match programme nationally and are usually announced in February. F
