Post-match is even better than the real thing

IT’S difficult to avoid Sky TV’s hype around the Premiership these days and their wall-to-wall promotions tempted me to tune in for last weekend’s Super Sunday derby double-header.

Following their dismantling of Spartak Moscow on Tuesday night much was expected of Liverpool at home to Everton in the Merseyside derby however Jurgen Klopp’s men disappointed.

Although they dominated proceedings and created a host of chances they somehow failed to add to Mo Salah’s first-half opener and succumbed to a late Wayne Rooney penalty.

Big Sam was delighted but Klopp was fuming.

30 miles down the road in the Manchester derby Man City stretched their lead at the top of the table to 11 points with a 2-1 win at Old Trafford. Pep was delighted and Mourinho was fuming.

The post match interviews are more exciting than the actual games.
