WHIST DRIVES

Top score last week was a tie with Joan Caffrey & Ann Marie McCluskey. Top gent was Anthony Nulty and top lady was Marie Walsh. The first half winner was Michael Meade and the second half winner was Pat McGovern. A vote of sympathy was passed to the O’Brien family on the death of Tommy and to the Maloney family on the death of Jimmy. Whist drives continue each Monday night in Bennetts.

MR. PATRICK BROWNE

We extend sincere sympathy to Bridie Browne and her family on the sudden death of her husband Patrick Browne on Thursday last. The funeral Mass took place in St. Mary’s Church Ardcath with burial afterwards to Ardcath Cemetery. He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife, Bridie, son Sean, daughters Therese, Jane and Ann, brother Michael, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-inlaw, sisters-in-law, grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rest in peace Paddy Browne.
