Drink driving

A 33-year-old motorist has been fined and disqualifi­ed after admitting drink driving and no insurance charges.

Aigars Lovniks, 96 Ashfield Green, Drogheda, was stopped by gardaí at Narrow West Street on 11 February, 2017.

A subsequent blood sample showed a reading of 270.

He has two previous conviction­s for no insurance.

For drink driving, he was disqualifi­ed for three years and fined €75. A two-year disqualifi­cation and €75 fine were imposed for having no insurance.

Other charges were taken into account.
