Fire engines from UK

Louth Fire services are set to receive a number of fire tenders from the UK, councillors heard at the monthly meeting.

Cllr. Frank Godfrey asked if these were second hand tenders, and queried insurances.

Director of Service Joe McGuinness said there were a number of low mileage, quality vehicles being taken in from the United Kingdom to support the current fleet of fire tenders in Louth.

He said they would all be fully insured and subject to the same checks and tests as all other tenders.
