A windows Christmas wonderland!

-

ENTRIES came from far and wide - hotels to shops, cafes and companies - but in end we could just select six winners of our Best Christmas Windows 2017.

Secret judges headed off to have a look and check out some prime locations and came back pretty happy!

Perhaps the most remarkable of the lot was down by the Boyne and centred in the front windows of the Dominican Priory House.

They went all out this year and Matthew and Sinead Hanratty spent months setting up the entry.

It depicts Beauty and the Beast and the Polar Express and was made from cardboard and old sheets!

Up in the Laurence Centre, Lisa Kerr McArdle weaved her magic with a superb front window display at the Vincent’s Shop.

Just down the road on Shop Street, the Irish Cancer shop also did a fantastic job - handmade frames to boot.

In Ballsgrove, the Grove Pharmacy showed a real artistic touch and down on the Newfoundwell Road, Garvey’s now lights up the place, bringing a great glow to the area.

In the shadow of Laurence’s Gate, the Design Gallery is another well lit up and beautiful shop and is another deserving winner.
