Special Highlanes night on January 10
As Highlanes Gallery prepares to present many of the most loved and cherished work in the Drogheda Municipal Art Collection, this winter, in early 2018, to mark Nollaig na mBan, it is presenting a special evening at the gallery, with two distinct themed tours by highly regarded historians, followed by informal supper with performances from the crème of Co. Louth traditional performers, Gerry Cullen (Voice Squad) and Kern; Brendan McCreanor (uilleann pipes), SJ McArdle (voice and guitar) and Barry Kieran (fiddle).
On Wednesday, January 10, from 7pm to 9.30pm, you can enjoy an evening of art, food and music, and (re)discover the Drogheda Municipal Art Collection. Choose from two distinct thematic guided tours of some of the highlights of the Collection, followed by a buffet supper and wine, with live musical accompaniment.
Drogheda through the Centuries in the Collection is led by community historian Brendan Matthews.
Women Artists in the Collection will be led by art historian Roisin Kennedy.
Tickets are €25 and include the guided tour, buffet supper, glass of wine, tea/coffee and music and song, and can be booked on Eventbrite or at Highlanes Gallery Reception.
Highlanes Gallery is grateful for the ongoing financial support from Louth County Council, the Arts Council, and Patrons, Benefactors and Friends of the gallery.
