Here is one of the biggest conundrums in the history of politics. The conundrum is where has the hero of the underdog gone to? The man who has surpassed the scarlet pimpernels ability to disappear at the drop of a hat. The man in question is Ming Flanagan. Ming was a regular on the T.V. and radio etc fighting the

cause for his people before he went to Brussels. I’m sure that he is still doing that. It’s just I’m puzzled by his scarcity. CONFIRMATI­ON

More success for Adam Farrell as he wins his 4th Louth championsh­ip in a row. Adam is now boxing with the Holy Family Boxing club since September. He took the move from Ardee Boxing club to try and further himself even more; that is not to take away all that Robbie has done for Adam in his former club. Members of Lannleire C.P.G. gathered in the Lannleire Pavilion in December for the adult and juvenile club A.G.M’s.

A motion was passed on the night to merge the adult and juvenile committee’s into one new club executive body which will have the power to establish a number of sub-committees.

Once again there was a great turnout for the annual GOAL Mile held at Pairc Naomh Feichin on St. Stephens Day. This was the 10th Anniversar­y of the event which has proved very popular since it began in 2008. It is great to see an organisati­on like GOAL being very well supported by our community given the work it undertakes in Third World countries and elsewhere. Well done to all involved.
