Mr Gay Louth

-

THE local LGBT are on the hunt for the next Mr Gay Louth.

The finals of the competition will take place in the Westcourt Hotel on January 30th and applications are now open on the Drogheda LGBTQ Facebook page.

People can either apply themselves or nominate someone they think would be worthy of the title.

There are just two criteria for entering: applicants must be over 18 and have to be part of the LGBT community.

‘Whoever wins this will have the opportunity to represent Louth in the Mr Gay Ireland competition which takes place in The Chambers Bar in Cork on March 3rd,’ said a spokespesron for the local LGBT group.

The rejuvenation of the competition is an exciting development for the group as it has not taken place in the county since 2002 when it was won by Karl Nash.

The spokesperson went on to say the group are keen to see entrants from all over the county and are calling on members of the community in Dundalk, Carlingford, Ardee, Dunleer and Castlebellingham to get involved and apply or nominate someone they think would be perfect for the title.

‘We are looking for inspiring gay me aged 18 or over to be a role model for the county,’ he explained.

For more information or to make an application or nomination go to the Drogheda LGBTQ Drogheda Facebook Page.
